Review: Seven Deadly Wonders

Seven Deadly Wonders
Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I had a hard time getting into the story here, perhaps because it was all action and no drama, but I find Reilly’s writing style captivating in and of itself. This was my first of his novels and I think I need to go back and start at the beginning of one of his series to really get myself vested in his characters.

A quick note; this book is written much like actual field notes or a diary narrative, with lots of incorrect usages and bad grammar. I love it. Truly unique and creative with no holds barred. Yet how does he get away with writing like this? If I did it, an editor (and the educated public) would taboo me in an instant! Cheers for him!
